Group Massage Services for Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties in Jaco

Why group massage works for these trips

Bachelor and bachelorette weekends in Jacó usually follow a pattern: arrival, a big night out, then a day where nobody wants to do anything strenuous. Group massage fits that day perfectly. It is easy to organize, works for any group size, suits people who are not interested in adventure activities, and requires no driving.

It also solves a coordination problem. Every other group activity — a boat trip, a zip-lining tour, dinner — involves moving everyone somewhere. A massage at the villa does not. Everyone stays together, and the group can spread out around the pool before and after.

Scheduling a group booking

There are two ways to run a group appointment, and most groups combine them:

Simultaneous sessions. Several therapists arrive together and set up multiple tables. With three therapists, three people can be treated at once. This is the fastest way to get through a group of six to eight, and it is the most social option.

Rotating sessions. One or two therapists work back-to-back slots while the rest of the group swims, eats or gets ready. This suits larger groups and works well when the villa has one good treatment space rather than several.

When you message us, tell us the number of people, whether everyone wants the same treatment, and your time window. We will propose a schedule based on the therapists available on your date.

Costs and how the deposit works

Group bookings use our standard rate of $75 per hour per person, so the maths is straightforward:

  • 6 people, 1 hour each = $450 total
  • 8 people, 1 hour each = $600 total
  • 6 people, 90 minutes each = $675 total

A 25% deposit confirms the booking and reserves the therapists for your date. The balance is paid at the appointment, and it is often easiest to collect the group's share before the session starts.

Booking early matters much more here than it does for a single treatment. Six therapists cannot be assembled the same evening, so once your travel dates are set, book the massage.

Choosing treatments for a mixed group

Everyone does not have to book the same thing, and you should not force it:

  • Relaxation massage for anyone who has never had one, or who is feeling delicate. More: relaxation massage.
  • Deep tissue massage for the surfers, athletes and anyone who woke up stiff. More: deep tissue massage.
  • Sports massage for those planning to be active later.
  • Hot stone and aromatherapy for a more indulgent feel.
  • Couples massage for pairs within the group, treated side by side. More: couples massage.
  • Facials and body scrubs as add-ons, or for anyone who prefers not to have a full-body massage.

Collect everyone's preference in a group chat a day before so the therapists arrive prepared. This alone saves a lot of time.

Setting up at the villa

A villa is the ideal venue. Practical guidance:

  • Space: about 2 × 3 meters per table. Terraces, pool decks and large living rooms usually handle two or three tables easily.
  • Shade: if sessions are outdoors, arrange tables in shaded areas or plan for late afternoon.
  • Distribute: spreading tables between a terrace and indoor rooms keeps noise down and gives people privacy.
  • Electronics: put music on a single speaker rather than several phones.
  • Refreshments: water and fruit are a nice touch between sessions; avoid heavy food immediately before a massage.
  • Pets: keep them in another room.

If the group is staying in a condo or hotel rather than a villa, see hotel and condo massage — a suite or a large balcony helps when several tables are involved.

Timelines that work

Morning after the night out. The most popular slot. Book the first session around 10:00 or 11:00 AM so the group has time to wake up and eat.

Afternoon pool day. Sessions in the shade between swimming, finishing around sunset.

Pre-dinner. A 5:00 or 6:00 PM start leaves everyone relaxed for dinner out. This is also a great time for photographs.

Wedding weekend. Treatments for the couple, the wedding party and visiting family in the two days before or after the ceremony. See private villa massage for setup details.

Common questions from group organizers

Can you handle 20 people? It depends entirely on therapist availability that day. Message us as early as possible with your numbers and we will tell you honestly what is possible, including splitting the group across two sessions.

Can we pay separately? Yes. Guests can pay individually for their own treatment; only the deposit needs to be handled in one payment.

What if someone in the group has never had a massage? Relaxation massage is the standard recommendation. Therapists will also explain what to expect before starting.

Is there a group discount? Group bookings use the standard $75 per hour per person rate.

Before you book

Confirm that everyone is comfortable with the plan, that nobody is pregnant, injured or on blood-thinning medication without telling us, and that the venue allows visitors. Then send us the details on WhatsApp at +506 6227 3248: date, time window, group size, treatments and the property address. We will confirm the therapists, the schedule and the deposit.
